My current game in progress is Final Fantasy 13.

FUNimation announced the simulcast/streaming rights for Eureka Seven: Astral Ocean recently and is now letting loose with its plans to get the show going for fans. According to the update, episodes 1 and 2 will be available on FUNimation.com as of Thursday, 5/2, at 10:00 am CT/11:00 am ET. After that, new episodes will go live each Thursday at 10:00 am CT/11:00 am ET. Episodes will be available on Hulu a week after they launch on FUNimation.com.

Strike Witches! The Witches Of Andorra Get English Net Release

If you’re a fan of the Strike Witches series, then this is right up your alley. The spinoff series for Strike Witches in manga form called Strike Witches: The Witches of Andorra is getting an English translation which is in Kadokkawa Niconico Ace. The manga, by Takeshi Nogami is available on the service for free viewing after registration.

Nogami is no stranger to Strike Witches as his previous project for it was also translated into English and he was the co-creator of The Witches of the Sphinx dōjinshi with Takaaki Suzuki who served as the historical advisor on the Strike Witches anime series.

Baccano! Blu-ray Gets Re-Release

Aniplex USA held their panel at Anime Central on Friday and while it was light on new news, the company did bring up one welcome piece of news. They released a limited edition run of the Baccano! Blu-ray box set back in May of 2011 which mirrored what the Japanese release was and included a bit more English language material. The set was done with a box made specifically for that release, which was why it was considered a limited edition. Aniplex is now set to re-release the show itself on Blu-ray again, date to be determined, and like Oreimo, it’ll be a regular edition version of it.

Baccano! is one of the unusual releases in that Aniplex only has the Blu-ray rights (at the moment?) as FUNimation has released the show on DVD with a dub, but they never had the Blu-ray rights. Aniplex’s Blu-ray release does include the English language dub as well as the subtitles.

Plot Concept: Hot off the “Roaring Twenties” and headfirst into the uncertain volatility of the “Dirty Thirties,” criminal syndicates stormed into power by bootlegging alcohol during the Prohibition Era – but the most notorious “liquor” of all time is about to set off a violent chain reaction within the mafia underworld!

Each story involves several unrelated plots intersecting and crossing each other as events spiral further and further out of control. Immortal alchemists, mafia-operated speakeasies, and many other elements of pulp fiction are mashed together for a world straight out of the movies.
